For all the food lovers in the world, one cannot forget the immense fame of the Cretan diet. It is the most representative of the Mediterranean diet and it justifies the reason that the Cretans lay claims on one of the longest life averages. Cretans choose to consume solely only what is produced/yielded by their lands such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains, dried seed (lentils, beans, peas) and olives or any of their byproducts seeing they have a high volume of olive trees. It is expected that once you start trying all the delightful and flavorful food the kind people of Crete share with you will attest that the Cretan cuisine is truly a gift from the Cretan people to us.

Furthermore, another reason why Crete is truly unique is that it can cater to any traveling type. It has high mountains for all those who prefer hiking, or an endless coastline, in which visitors can pick a big and crowded beach for their swim or a more secluded and private beach that may be according to their preferences.
